What began as a kill time hobby in a friends backyard has gradually evolved into a life affirming journey for Boyle Heights native Mescalito. Mescal's career began in 2008 rocking backyard parties and local open mic poetry spots. Now his focus is on creating a new sound to reach masses with a critical focus on at risk youth and the harsh realities of growing up Chicano in the 21st century.
